Orlando Pirates' youth coach, Augusto Palacios, says that the club has taken steps to eradicate age cheating in the club, and is happy with how things are going.

The Buccaneers had to close down their academy not so long ago, citing that they needed to do a clear up within the structures in order to clear out age cheats, but have no been open again for around four months.
Having signed up to play in the Soweto Football Association League, Palacios has explained the lengths that they go to to make sure that their young players are exactly the age they are.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Palacios said, "We re-opened the academy four months ago and began hiring players locally, at this moment we have around 30 players in both categories and we're playing in the Soweto Football Association League.
"I think in a short period we will see how many players we will bring into the first team.
"The problem wasn't with Pirates, it was about he coaches that the players had previously who liked to win and forged documents.
"Now, however, we have created a new dynamic. When a player registers in the Soweto Football Association League he needs to bring with him his mother's ID, his mother's fingerprints, the mother's card from when he was born in the hospital. If you have all of those things then it's impossible to lie about age.
"We take those things, as well as his records from school, and take them to Home Affairs, they then confirm whether the player is the age he says he is."
