Spurs and Real played out to a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, although both sides had a number of chances to win the game.
Kane, who has been in sublime touch for the Lilywhites this season, swapped his match shirt with Ronaldo when the game came to an end, and has since explained that the Portuguese was one of his biggest role models.
"I asked for his shirt at the end," he told the Daily Mirror.
"He was a big role model of mine growing up. It's a nice shirt to get. I will frame it.
"I gave him my shirt. I don't know what he'll do with it!
"It was a great night for us. One we can be proud of – the fans can be proud of. The whole club can be proud."
Real boss Zinedine Zidane also had some kind words for Kane in the build-up to and after the clash, and the Englishman insisted he will use those comments as a source of motivation.
"I try to use that as positives. I've said before that positive comments help a striker, I try to use it as motivation," he added.
"Not just me, we've got a whole squad, a whole team working very hard.
"But when you've got a striker scoring goals, it's natural for people to talk about that. I use that as a positive – try to use it for confidence moving forward."

Kane, who has been linked with Real over the past few months, is tied with Ronaldo on 43 goals in 2017 so far.
