With Lionel Messi no longer a Barcelona player, we roll back the years in some of the Argentine's most iconic shirts with the Catalan giants.
What's the story?
In what has been the most sensational story in recent football history, it has been confirmed that Messi left the Catalan club, ending one of the most successful spells at club level in the modern era.
Its been reported that Barcelona was unable to accommodate Messi ahead of the 2021/22 season because of financial constraints, with it being unviable for a new deal to be concluded.
Off To PSG?
Now though, it appears that big spenders Paris Saint-Germain could be in for the 2021 Copa America winner, with it being reported that his camp, along with the club have already begun discussions over a potential deal.
That being said, Barcelona took to their TikTok account recently and uploaded a heartfelt video depicting all the Argentine's iconic jerseys throughout the years.
Iconic Kits
The video showcases all of Messi's Barca shirts throughout his journey with the club, beginning with the number 30 kit he wore in the 2004/05 season where he made his debut with the club.
However, it can be said that it was Messi donning the number 10 jersey that will stick forever in the memory of the Barcelona fans, as he bids farewell to the club he served for some 21 years.
