Downs vs Chippa - 'I Feel For The Grass At The Stadium.'

A powerful game is upon us. The MTN8 semi-finals are around the corner and the supporters are licking their lips. The first game is between Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns, it is shaping up to be a beautiful affair.

Supporters Club caught up with Chippa United supporter Pam Buwa to find out the mood of the Chilli Boys faithful ahead of the big game.

Beaver Nazo: Hi Pam, how are you doing?

Pam Buwa: Hey Beaver, all is well buti, I cannot complain at all.

BN: Firstly it's the Chilli Boys maiden appearance in the MTN8, what does that mean to you guys?

PB: Well we are very proud of them for putting our name up there. Words cannot describe how I feel about this Beaver. As you may have heard, our slogan for this season is "The season of growth". We gonna surprise a lot of teams because we are growing.

BN: And what are your chances of reaching the final?

PB: We do respect the team that we are playing against, but we are not scared of any team, we are definitely going to the final. We gonna win the game and we gonna make sure that we score goals and don't concede.

BN: And the ticket sales, how are they going, are people buying the tickets?

PB: People are very excited and are buying tickets because it's a cup game and there has to be the winner. Remember we are playing champions. We all know that at the moment these are the two teams that are playing the best football and I feel for the grass at that stadium because its gonna suffer.

BN: What are your thoughts on coach, Dan?

PB: Well he is the father figure to our players, he doesn't just coach them, he is comforting them. Some of them even surprised themselves by what they're doing on the field because of him.

BN: Well that's good, lastly any message to the team?

PB: The boys must just go out there and do what they do best, dishing out good football. Asinavalo, uvalo dololo!
