Kaizer Chiefs' marketing director, Jessica Motaung, headed to Metro FM to speak about Amakhosi's "extensively lucrative" deal with Kappa that'll go beyond being a kit sponsor.
On the "Chiefs Laughs All The Way To The Bank In New Kappa Deal" story, whore Motaung revealed that the Italian sportswear brand will also invest heavily into the club, readers had plenty to say on the matter:
"Let hope this deal will involve us as fans, because Nike was sponsoring chiefs and make a profit by selling their merchandise to us with big price. How can you sell a top jersey for 1200 and a tracksuit for 1800," says Mami@georgedale.
Another fan claimed to know the amount that Kappa is putting on the table:
"I heard from reliable sources that Kappa has offered over 200m for this deal," says Khosiological.
"Kaizer chiefs has all the numbers needed to acquire any sponsorship," says Sir Goss.
Mamelodi Sundowns' senior coach Manqoba Mngqithi who heaped praise on Morocco and their coach Walid Regragui, and also spoke about them resuming their DStv Prem campaign on New Years Eve, drew a couple of extensive comments on the "Downs Coach Dismisses Festive Period Distraction Talk" story:
"Chiefs should also take a leaf from Sundowns' book. They have sent their coaching staff to the World Cup to scout for talent. That is a very good decision. It is wrong to rely on Scouts as they might recommend a player without the involvement of the coach only to find out that the particular player doesn't fit into the coach's philosophy and the team's or club's way of playing. Congrats to Sundowns for that," says Mr Soccer Enthusiast.
