2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier

Bafana were last in action in the World Cup qualifiers in November last year after a 2-0 defeat to Rwanda.
Hugo Broos' charges are lying third in Group C, just a point behind The Wasps, who lost 1-0 to Benin on Thursday.
Nigeria, on the other hand, will be searching for their first victory in the qualifiers after back-to-back 1-1 draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

The Super Eagles are one point and one place behind Bafana in the section and like South Africa, they could top the table if they win.
Finidi George will be in charge of the Super Eagles for the first time after replacing Jose Peseiro in April.
George was Peseiro's assistant at the Africa Cup of Nations after Nigeria edged Bafana on penalties following a 1-1 draw extra-time in the semi-finals but lost out to hosts Ivory Coast in the final.
Here's how they line up:
Nigeria: Nwabali, Semi, Bassey, Taminu, Osayi-Samuel, Ndidi, Iwobi, Bashiru, Lookman, Onuachu, Iheanacho.
South Africa: Williams, Mudau, Ngezana, Mvala, Modiba, Mokoena, Sithole, Zwane, Tau, Mokwana, Rayners
Subs: Goss, Mothwa, Maswanganyi, Msimango, Morena, Appollis, Aubaas, Mofokeng, Foster, Mobbie, Adams
