Stellenbosch FC have not closed the door to selling some of their best players in the current transfer window, but there is a lot that would have to be offered before they consider letting any of them go.
Deano van Rooyen, Fawaaz Basadien and Jayden Adams are just some of the players who have attracted interest in Gauteng, with Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns believed to be sniffing around.

The challenge for Stellies is that they will be participating in the CAF Confederation Cup and would certainly need to have their best players to give themselves a shot at going far in the competition, but there's also the reality of receiving offers they cannot refuse. The club would not stay in the way of players if the moves make sense.
Stellies CEO Rob Benadie explained that while they do not wish to sell their players, there is a possibility of a few leaving.
"I don't like to call us a selling or a buying club. I know we are not a buying club, but we have bought one or two players recently. The reason why we could do that is because we sold some players. We want to try keep our whole squad. We are on 26 players at the moment and if you were to ask me who we are going to sell, I would like to sell nobody. Is that going to happen? Probably not," Benadie said during a South African Football Journalists' Association virtual press conference.

"We know that we are going to sell players because we do focus a lot on youngsters and development, as you've seen with the Diski programme. We will hopefully continue to bring in some youngsters and we really do not want to stand in the way of a young player that can springboard their career by going to another club, locally or abroad, but preferably abroad. We really want to do that. We need more players playing overseas if we want to get Bafana Bafana. We can't be selfish when we've got real talent, like SuperSport has recently done with Shandre and when we did with Olwethu (Makhanya) a year and a half of ago to Philadelphia. We will look to sell if we have, but always with a view of being in a better net position at the end of the transfer window. We have been successful at doing that."
