Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that goalkeeper Ricardo Goss has secured a loan move away from the club for the 2024/25 campaign.
The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper was recently part of training at Chloorkop as Sundowns returned for pre-season, but was not part of the side that travelled to Austria, as they were in discussions for him to make a move back to SuperSport United, where he had spent two seasons on loan.

Goss will this time be on loan for just one season at SuperSport, giving him an opportunity to get game time and serve as the club's number one goalkeeper.
While he was on loan to SuperSport last season, the 30-year-old made 33 appearances in all competitions and the club was happy with his contribution, which is why they were more than happy to have him back on board under head coach Gavin Hunt.

With the Africa Cup of Nations coming next year, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup not too far away, Goss will definitely want to make sure he is at a club where he can get regular game time, so that he can keep getting call-ups from head Hugo Broos. His chances of featuring for Bafana might have been slim had he stayed at Sundowns this season.
Another player who is expected to join SuperSport from Sundowns is Bafana Bafana right back Nyiko Mobbie.
