Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2021 cover star, Lionel Messi, will be the Iconic Moments player for the FC Barcelona Club Edition.

The Iconic version of Messi comes from way back, with the player looking like he did back in 2007.
The moment chosen was certainly an unforgettable one. Dribbling his way through almost the entire Getafe team, this was the day that comparisons were drawn between the Barca star and Argentina legend, Diego Maradona.
PES have also released the stats that Iconic Messi will have, and he beats fierce rival Cristiano Ronaldo by one point overall.
Messi scores 97 in total, with his skills maxed out at 99 for dribbling, tight possession and balance.
His ball control is at 98 while his finishing, speed, place kicking, curl, acceleration, stamina and offensive awareness are all 90 or above.
Messi's defensive stats are not great, with just aggression and ball-winning being over 50, while his physical presence is also fairly low at 72.
Messi won't be as strong as Ronaldo is on his weaker right foot, but he also receives the 'penalty specialist' skill, along with double touch and stop-on-ball control skills.
