Although most eyes are glued to the stat increases for players in form ahead of the new instalment of EA SPORTS FIFA, there are most certainly some players avoiding their new overall score.
In a recent prediction article from Dexerto, they had a look at a number of players that could suffer a significant downgrade to their scores.
Predicted Messi v Ronaldo FIFA 21 Ratings
We had a look at some of their most significant predictions:
Edinson Cavani
The PSG star has long been a trusted forward in the FIFA franchise, but his 88 overall in FIFA 20 didn't seem to match the stats. Having made only a few appearances over the last campaign, he is also expected to suffer a knock to his overall score. A prediction of up to four points being dropped is also given for the Uruguay star, leaving him at 84 potentially.

David Luiz
Boasting a current rating of 83 overall in FIFA 20, David Luiz has not been in the best form over the current campaign for Arsenal. Based on his appearances and impact at the Gunners, it is predicted that he too will lose four points and dip just below the 80 mark, to 79 overall.
Jesse Lingard
The Manchester United and England midfielder has struggled for form, consistency and game time over the course of the season. The arrival of Bruno Fernandes has further strengthened the competition for places, and Lingard has found himself relegated to cup duty. Rated at a solid 82 in FIFA 20, he is expected to lose up to four rating points for FIFA 21, taking him to a predicted 78 overall.
Eden Hazard
The replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, is also interestingly on the list. Though he has not been a bad addition at the Spanish giants, he has certainly not been at his dazzling best. He also suffered injury earlier in the season, and Dexerto believe that he will drop from a 91 overall to 88.
