A leaked image that's doing the rounds on social media shows that the upcoming FIFA 23 game could have a crossover with Marvel.
Let's take a look...
What's the story?
In what appears to be a leaked image, FIFA 23 could have some sort of crossover with Marvel.
Although the picture no longer appears on the EA Sports website, the leak shows the Marvel crossover could be part of the FIFA Ultimate Team Heroes feature.
FUT Heroes
The Marvel crossover could be designed for the new FUT feature called FUT Heroes.
According to the EA Sports site, the FUT Heroes are players who have "special items that represent the memorable moments in their career that made them cult legends."
"Find FUT 23 Heroes in-game from launch, with an additional special FIFA World Cup™ FUT Hero version for each FUT 23 Hero to be released starting November 11 celebrating a famous performance on the world's biggest stage," it says on the site.
The FUT Heroes so far are Yaya Toure, Park Ji-Sung and Ricardo Carvalho.
Where could Marvel come in?
The likelihood of seeing Marvel heroes like Spiderman, Hulk, or Black Panther is very low.
Many users on Twitter have joked and speculated that FIFA 23 gamers could expect to use superheroes alongside their favourite players but that could look awkward with the gameplay.
FIFA could use Marvel to customise the appearance of a player or maybe incorporate them in kits or TIFOs for the in-game crowds.
Here's one of the tweets that leaked Marvel's potential crossover with FIFA:
