EA SPORTS FIFA may have lost the likes of Juventus to rivals eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), but they still hold bragging rights when it comes to authenticity.
Being able to play in official competitions and with all of the official clubs is a big deal for rivals in the football arena, and the battle for big clubs, leagues and competitions has increased in recent years.
PES managed to secure rights for the UEFA Champions League back in 2009, making it the only official football game to offer the experience until they lost the licence in 2019.
Authenticity may not always be a deciding factor for players looking for the best football game, but it certainly adds to the experience, and EA SPORTS are promising unrivalled authenticity in FIFA 21.
"Experience unrivalled authenticity with over 17,000 players and 700+ teams alongside more than 90 stadiums and 30+ leagues connecting players to The World's Game," EA SPORTS said in a press release.
"Additionally, celebrate football glory with exclusive access to global competitions including UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamerica, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander."
This, including a number of new features over Career Mode, Volta Football and FIFA Ultimate Team have fans expecting a revamped experience when picking up FIFA 21 later this year.
However, it remains to be seen how it all gels together and whether or not FIFA 21 will be a standout option in the annual series.
