There has been some outcry from the community in recent years regarding the lack of changes to FIFA's flagship single player mode.
Career mode has offered the opportunity to take on the role of manager, or player-manager, or even just a player, but the mechanics remained fairly similar for a number of the last few editions.
EA have now looked to try and address the monotony, and in FIFA 21 they promise the player more control over every aspect, from player training and development, to improved transfer options.
In the detailed trailer, they highlight management of training, such as scheduling training and rest days, as well as focused player training that could turn your right back into an effective winger.
Choosing to simulate games and act as a tactical manager was not satisfying for fans due to the lack of depth in recent titles, and the developers seem to have listened.

Showing off the new simulation mode, players can look forward to more stats, the ability to switch tactics and make substitutions on the fly, and a useful feature that allows you to jump into the game and take control when you deem necessary.
