Excitement for the next generation of consoles is steadily climbing, and all eyes were on PlayStation's State of Play event, which took place on Thursday, 6 August 2020.

The event was streamed live on PlayStation's official YouTube, and although many may have been hoping for more on the PS5, fans would have to settle on getting more PS4 games.
There was also a lot of Virtual Reality updates, one of the big ones being from IO Interactive, who revealed that there will be a VR mode in first-person perspective in Hitman 3.
One of the PS5 titles show was The Pathless, which is an adventure game that is set in a forest and has some interesting mechanics.
The much-anticipated Spelunky 2 also popped up in the event, while another PS5 title show off was Hood: Outlaws Legends. A medieval title from Sumo Newcastle and Focus Home Interactive which features 'wraiths'.

Action-RPG Godfall was also present, and fans were treated to some new gameplay that was captured on a PS5.
