Luc Eymael has been interested in the Sekhukhune United job, and now sources have revealed what might have affected his chances of getting it.
On Tuesday, the club confirmed appointing Lehlohonolo Seema as new head coach, replacing Brandon Truter. The side has been inundated with CVs of coaches who showed interest in the job, with Eymael one of those.
However, but it seems Babina Noko weren't happy in the way he went about it, according to a source.
"It is not a secret that Luc Eymael wants to come back to South Africa to coach in the PSL again and he has been keeping tabs on what is happening in the league. In his most recent attempt, he was trying to get a job at Sekhukhune. He's been in communication with one of the administrators at the club and initially, things looked promising for him, before he upset the official. That affected their relationship," said the source.
"He was busy calling the administrator and asking to be employed and promising heaven and earth on what he can do with the team. You know how Luc is, he can market himself in whatever way possible, and he was telling this guy that he knows him and what he can do from his previous clubs.
"That didn't sit well with the official and that affected his chances of getting the job," the source concluded.
