While there is a good chance of Samkelo Zwane staying at Kaizer Chiefs next season, the Siya crew understands that his representatives will look at engaging with Amakhosi management to look at his chances of playing more, especially with a new coach coming in.
Zwane has struggled to break into the starting line-up, and it's believed that a possibility of being loaned out for a season has not completely been ruled out at this stage, as his camp would like to see him playing and gaining more experience in the PSL.
The 22-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions this season, which is quite less than he managed last term. He made seven more appearances last season under former coach Arthur Zwane, but competition has been tough for him in the team this term, following the addition of more experienced midfielders Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Edson Castillo.
Soccer Laduma understands that the player is determined to fight for his place in the team next season, but a lot will depend on the new coach Amakhosi are expected to appoint in the coming weeks.
It's understood that Zwane's camp would want to know what the plan of the new coach is, to see whether or not the player needs to make a loan move to get more game time elsewhere. Chiefs see Zwane as a player for the future and will weigh their options in the coming weeks before a final decision is made on where he will play next season, but it appears the only option would be a loan move as they are not prepared to let him go permanently.
