SuperSport United's young talents, midfielder Thabang Makubo and striker Thabang Mahlangu are understood to have been invited for trials with a Spanish club, the Siya crew has been informed.
Insiders close to both the club and the players have disclosed that the duo will be trialing with SD Huesca and are scheduled to travel to Spain on January 2.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Makubo had already attracted interest from other clubs in the Netherlands and France, and this opportunity could further expand his prospects.
"Yes, everything has been finalised and the two will be travelling to Spain on January 2. They have been doing very well for the DDC team and they have also been earmarked for promotion to the senior SuperSport United team. So these trails come at the right time for them as players and for SuperSport United as a club as well. So, yes, it's true Thabang Makubo and Thabang Mahlangu are going to Spain for trials," their representatives P Management told the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, a second Siya source stated that Mahlangu is believed to have been offered a three-year contract with the senior team at SuperSport United. The source added that the young striker has been presented with a contract running from July 2024 to June 2027.

"At first (Mahlangu) was playing using a youth contract but now the team has offered him a three-year senior contract. He has been with the senior team on some occasions now and the technical team wants him to be with the team on a full-time basis as they are struggling in the striking department and they feel that if they can have a youngster like Thabang Mahlangu in the setup of the senior team then it will help. Hence the three-year contract that the club has offered him," the second source stated.
The opportunity for Makubo and Mahlangu to trial with SD Huesca reflects SuperSport's commitment to developing young talent and providing pathways to international exposure.
