The future of Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa will be discussed in the coming weeks, with an exit not being ruled out at this stage while PSL clubs monitor the situation.
Indications are that Pirates are open to a possibility of parting ways with the Bafana Bafana striker, who started the season so well after returning from a loan spell at SuperSport United.
But game time has been hard to come by in the second half of the season and it's believed that there is a possibility of an exit, especially with Pirates in the market for a striker.
The Siya crew has reported that the Buccaneers are interested in signing Cape Town Spurs striker Ashley Cupido, and this could leave Lepasa struggling even more to get into the team, if the Buccaneers manage to sign the Cape-based forward.
At the moment, Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is using in-form Tshegofatso Mabasa as his main striker, with Evidence Makgopa recently returning from injury and providing back-up as a substitute in the second half.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, SuperSport United are interested in signing Lepasa and could look at possibly swapping Thalente Mbatha to secure the striker on a permanent basis. Mbatha is on loan to Pirates from SuperSport until the end of the season and the Buccaneers are determined to have him on a permanent deal, but SuperSport could look at benefitting from the deal by securing Lepasa.
