Cape Town City are monitoring the situation of defender Maxim Gullit, who is currently undergoing an assessment with Stellenbosch FC, the Siya crew understands.
Gullit is currently a free agent and has made his way to South Africa in hopes of landing a deal in the PSL.
The 22-year-old was last on the books of SC Cambuur in the Dutch Eredivisie where he spent two seasons.
According to the latest information reaching the Siya crew, Cape Town City have also set their sights on the son of Dutch legend Ruud Gullit and are waiting to pounce should he fail to land a deal with their Cape counterparts.
According to Siya sources, City coach Eric Tinkler is keen on strengthening his defence with the towering left-footer. It now remains to be seen whether the defender manages to impress coach Steve Barker and his technical team or if whether he will join their cross-town rivals instead.
