Cape Town Spurs have tied down one of the club's emerging talents amid interest emerging both locally and abroad.
The rumour mill has been buzzing this week with British publication The Scottish Sun reporting that Scottish Premier League outfit Celtic have been tracking 17-year-old Luke Baartman, while there has been interest from the EPL, with Leeds United understood to be monitoring his progress.
'Boere', as he is affectionately known, has come through the Urban Warriors academy and his inspiring performances saw him being promoted to the club's first team this season.
The latest news reaching this publication regarding the starlet's future is that Spurs see the rising star as the future of the side and, as a result, have tied him down to a long-term contract, as he continues to grow in stature.
Baartman is the latest product of the club's conveyor belt of talent which continues to produce quality, with the likes of Rushwin Dortley, Ashley Cupido and Liam Bern establishing themselves as first-team regulars, while the side's academy continues to produce quality players.
The young star has made four appearances in all competitions for the now Ernst Middendorp-led team so far this season, with his debut coming against Orlando Pirates, while he managed to bag his first professional goal against Kaizer Chiefs in a 3-2 loss earlier this month.
