With Richards Bay FC struggling to win games in the DStv Premiership so far this season and already considered relegation candidates, it's no secret that coach Kaitano Tembo is skating on thin ice.
As such, the Siya crew has established that the Natal Rich Boyz are still backing the Zimbabwean for now – however, that hasn't stopped them from looking at potential options should the results not improve.
One name that has been thrown around the corridors at the KwaZulu-Natal club is that of Brandon Truter, whose time at Sekhukhune United was understood to be up at the time of going to print. Richards Bay appointed Tembo at the start of the season following a close brush with relegation to the lower division under his predecessor Vasili Manousakis, and the expectation was to improve the team.
It's not quite gone the way chairman Jomo Biyela would have hoped and Tembo himself has on several occasions admitted his job is in danger as he was under pressure to pick up points.
The Natal Rich Boys are through to the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout and it remains to be seen whether it's Tembo who sees out that competition or whether Truter, who has coached Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu FC in the topflight, could be the incoming coach.
