Marumo Gallants are believed to have identified their goalkeeping department as the one they would like to bolster in the January transfer window, the Siya crew understands.
Insiders close to the club have indicated that the Bloemfontein-based team is interested in one of Mamelodi Sundowns' goalkeepers.
Siya sources added that Gallants are interested in Sanele Tshabalala, who joined the PSL defending champions from Moroka Swallows but is yet to make an official appearance for the club.
The sources discussed how Gallants are determined to strengthen their goalkeeping department.

"For now it's the interest from Marumo Gallants. As for Sundowns they had been looking at loaning him out for more game time. So if Marumo are interested in him maybe they could get him on that loan. I don't think Sundowns would want to sell him permanently. But if it's a loan deal they would negotiate for that at the moment. Marumo are looking at bolstering their goalkeeping department with at least a young goalkeeper as the three goalkeepers they have are all senior goalkeepers," the Siya source stated.
A second Siya source stated that Masandawana would welcome the loan move as they want to see Tshabalala grow because the competition is very tough at their club.

The 26-year-old had previously been on the books of Chiefs, BidVest Wits, and recently Moroka Swallows, from where Sundowns signed him in July 2023.
Soccer Laduma contacted Gallants media officer Sello Nduna, but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
As Gallants look to strengthen their goalkeeping department, the potential loan move for Tshabalala could provide the goalkeeper with valuable game time and experience.
