As previously reported by the Siya crew, there has been interest in Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena from North Africa.
This, sources claim, comes in the wake of the Brazilians being crowned champions of the inaugural African Football League by beating Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca (in addition to Petro de Luanda) on their way to the winners' podium.
Mokwena has consistently been asked how he was able to mastermind the downfall of two giants on the continent during the eight-team tournament, which has subsequently led to enquiries over his service.
But Soccer Laduma can reveal the 36-year-old has no intention to even entertain these advances from rivals up north having also put pen to paper on a four-year contract at Sundowns in July.
It's no secret that he did contemplate a move when talks with Downs over a new deal were dragging earlier this year, particularly the part about whether he would be allowed to assemble his own technical team.
There was a clear sign of support when Steve Komphela and other backroom staff members were allowed to leave as Mokwena roped in his preferred choices, including Michael Loftman as a set-piece specialist.
It's this sort of backing - and the potential to be an even more successful coach – that insiders indicate will keep Mokwena at Chloorkop for some time.
