Yet another DStv Premiership outfit have joined Swallows FC in the race for striker Wayde Lekay, who recently ended his assessment with Kaizer Chiefs, the Siya crew understands.
Lekay was one of four strikers on trial at Chiefs, the others being Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, Musa Kamara and young striker Fuad Johnson.
Two of the strikers in Kamara and Lekay are understood to have concluded their assessment with the Soweto giants.
Now, according to the latest information reaching the Siya crew, Royal AM have also set their sights on the lanky Lekay who recently became a free agent after parting ways with TS Galaxy, where he spent two seasons after joining from Steenberg United.
According to Siya sources, Swallows and Royal AM both made formal approaches to the players camp and it now remains to be seen whether he makes his way to KwaZulu-Natal or whether he will remain in Johannesburg for the foreseeable future.
The 25-year-old Lekay scored eight goals in 48 appearances for the Rockets.
