It seems that out-of-favour Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni "Ox" Mthethwa won't find it difficult to secure a new club if his time at Naturena comes to an end, as a PSL club is believed to have inquired about his services already.
Insiders at both Chiefs and Sekhukhune United have indicated that Babina Noko are believed to be interested in Mthethwa for a possible transfer in the January window. The Siya sources added that the Limpopo side is expected to be willing to beef up their squad with experience, and Mthethwa could have been identified as the kind of player they are looking at.

"They are looking at him. They have been considering him for some time now and the technical team is happy that his addition to the squad could be of great value. He has the experience and he is a good player. It's unfortunate he is not playing at Chiefs at the moment but if you know him then you know how good he is in that department. There are very few defensive midfielders as good as Mthethwa in our league and each club and each team have their own system, and maybe that's why he is not playing at Chiefs, but Sekhukhune United are interested in him and they would be happy if they can get him. He played in the final in Port Elizabeth against Sundowns (in the Home of Legends Cup) and Sekhukhune's people were happy to see him in action," the Siya source told Soccer Laduma.
A second insider stated that Sekhukhune would probably want to sign him permanently if Chiefs are willing to let him go in January.
"You know they got Sipho Mbule on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and they don't want to have Ox (Mthethwa) on loan but on a permanent deal. Maybe it could start as a loan and then they can negotiate at the end of the season for a permanent move. But they are really interested in him. Let's wait for the transfer window period to open then to see what will happen. And remember Chiefs are also willing to find a team for him so I don't think it will be hard to reach an agreement," the second insider stated.

Since the arrival of head coach Nasreddine Nabi this season, the 30-year-old has fallen out of favour and has been subject to transfer speculation, with his former team Stellenbosch FC, AmaZulu FC, and Chippa United all showing interest in his services.
Last season Ox had played a fair amount of matches after joining from Stellies. The Siya crew reached out for comment to Sekhukhune United but there was no response at the time of publishing.
As January approaches, the potential move of Mthethwa to Sekhukhune United could provide the defensive midfielder with a fresh start.
