Orlando Pirates are believed to have offered a player a new contract, as his current deal is set to expire in June 2025, the Siya crew has been informed.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Bucs were said to be keen on extending defender Thabiso Monyane's stay with the club and were already set to initiate talks for a renewal.

Insiders have now added that the proposed offer is likely to be a two-year contract with an additional one-year option.
"For now they want to make sure they keep Thabiso Monyane as they continue looking for another right back. You remember the club is interested in Thabang Matuludi from Polokwane City?" the Siya source asked.
"They haven't gotten him, yet they have to be sure they have Monyane on their books. That is why they have offered Thabiso a new two-year deal with a one-year option," the source added.
A second insider noted that despite interest from other clubs, Pirates are not prepared to let Monyane go at this time.
"It's a bit of a hard decision to make as there were clubs who were interested in him at the time Pirates signed Deano Van Rooyen but things didn't work out that time and now with their situation they don't want to let him go. They want to have a strong team in all departments because they have many games to play from this season going forward and that's why they are working on keeping him further," the second insider stated.

The 24-year-old product of the Pirates development system, he has not been a regular this season so far, but he was involved in many games last term.
By securing Monyane's future, Pirates could reinforce their defensive strength to maintain competitiveness. As the club works to balance player retention with new acquisitions, Monyane's continued presence will be instrumental in supporting Pirates' ambitions across multiple competitions.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
