The sources added that the youngster has been training with the first team during the week and playing for the DDC team over the weekend. They are believed to be happy with his progress, and he is ready for top flight football.
"What the club is doing is to open up as much as they can for the youngsters. Actually they are working on the Barcelona model. That's the one they are using and that's why they want their development from as far as the Under-13 to the DDC to be the feeders to the first team. That's why Thebsie even traveled with the team for the Home of Legends Cup. He also trains with the first team as a way of integrating him into the system. That's the way to promote him and they feel he is ready now," the Siya source observed.

"The aim is to one day see the first eleven which is made only of development graduates and the team is working towards that. Look at the other youngsters who have already been promoted and that's what they are doing with Kamohelo as well. The future is looking good and the academy plan is working for the club as things stand," the second insider told the Siya crew.
16-year-old Mareletse is currently part of the South African Under-17 national team. As Sundowns continue to build towards a future with homegrown talent, the promotion of Mareletse represents their commitment to nurturing young players.
