Chippa United have expressed a keen interest in retaining the services of Mamelodi Sundowns' loanee left-back, Malebogo Gadinkame Modise, for another season or potentially on a permanent basis.
The Chilli Boys have been impressed with the former Amajita defender's contributions and are eager to ensure his continued presence in their squad.

Siya sources close to the club have indicated that the positive relationship between Chippa United and Sundowns could facilitate smooth progress in any potential deal, whether it involves extending the loan or transitioning to a permanent transfer.
"Chippa United are happy with Malebogo (Modise). They are actually talking to Sundowns so that they can keep him for next season. You remember they even advertised that left back position before they signed him on loan? They don't want to lose him at least for another season and that's why they are ready to renegotiate with Sundowns to either get him on loan for now or sign him permanently if Sundowns will agree," the source told Soccer Laduma.
According to a second Siya source, interest regarding Modise's future began as early as January, coinciding with Sundowns' acquisition of defender Zuko Mdunyelwa from Chippa United.
"They had talks when Zuko (Mdunyelwa ) was moving to Sundowns. That's when they showed interest and inquired if they could keep Modise instead. Now those talks have resurfaced and Chippa are looking forward to having him for at least next season. The technical team is happy with his performance hence the need to keep him," the source added.
Modise, a 25-year-old from Mafikeng, has represented South Africa at both Under-17 and Under-20 levels. He was promoted to Sundowns' first team in 2020 and has since been loaned out to various clubs, including Maritzburg United, All Stars, and JDR Stars in the Motsepe Foundation League, before joining Chippa United this year.
During his tenure at Chippa, Modise has made 12 appearances, contributing one assist. When contacted by Soccer Laduma and in confirmation of the club's intentions, Chippa United Executive Director Lukhanyo Mzinzi stated the following.
"Yes, we want to keep him," Mzinzi told the Siya crew.
Mzinzi has thus signaled a clear desire to secure Modise's talents for the foreseeable future. This potential move underscores Chippa United's strategy to bolster their squad with proven talent, as they aim to solidify their position in the Premiership.
With Modise's promising performances and the existing rapport between Chippa and Sundowns, the stage is set for negotiations that could see the young defender continue to shine.
