News reaching the Siya crew is that versatile player Sinoxolo Kwayiba has become restless and could be heading out of Chippa United when the transfer window opens in January.
The player arrived with a lot of promise from Pretoria Callies, where he played a central role in their surge up the table towards the end of last season after languishing for long spells in the relegation zone, with his eye-catching performances winning him a contract with the Gqeberha-based side at the end of the season.
However, Kwayiba, who can be deployed as a deep-lying midfielder or in an advanced role, has been unable to break into the starting XI, with coach Morgan Mammila appearing to have settled on a winning combination.
Soccer Laduma has been informed that club owner Chippa Mpengesi likes the boy and is willing to loan him out in January. However, should there be a concrete offer on the table, they are also willing to listen to the interested parties.
Siya sources have indicated that the Chilli Boys were even considering loaning the player back to Callies, but discussions collapsed due to the fact that they still owe the Romans a portion of the transfer fee when they acquired him.
According to Siya sources, Callies have dug in their feet and demand full payment of the agreed transfer before they entertain a possible loan deal with their former star.
