It was recently revealed by the Siya Crew that former Orlando Pirates player Mandla Zwane, who is now coaching in India, is considering coming back to South Africa. Zwane has been an assistant coach at Indian Super League club Jamshedpur since the beginning of the year.
Sources recently revealed to the Siya Crew that the mentor has had two clubs in the Motsepe Foundation Championship showing interest in his services.
It turns out that one of the clubs is Platinum City Rovers, who have been struggling to get the desired results this season and could be at risk of losing their second-tier status if the situation doesn't improve.
With seven matches remaining before the end of the season, Rovers are 15th on the standings with only five wins.
For the second half of the season, the North West outfit has been coached by another ex-Pirates player in Tlou Segolela but the club is believed to be willing to get him an assistant in trying to save their status.
"Platinum City Rovers are looking at bringing Mandla Zwane to rescue the club from possible relegation. It's something that the coach is seriously considering, and he could be on his way back from India in the coming weeks," said the source.
