South African international Thabo Cele, who currently turns out for Russian Premier League club Fakel Voronezh, has been linked with a return to the Betway Premiership in 2025, according to Siya sources.
Cele is among a handful of players who have made significant strides in his career without ever playing in the Premier Soccer League.
A product of the prestigious KZN Academy, Cele's journey took him to Portugal as a teenager, where he had begun his professional career with Real SC, before moving to Benfica B and Cova Piedade. Since then, he has played in Poland with Radomiak Radom and is now showcasing his talent in Russia.

Cele's performances for Fakel Voronezh have been solid, and he has continued to impress in the Russian Premier League with 14 appearances in all competitions.
However, the 27-year-old is reportedly considering a return to the South African domestic scene in 2025.
Sources close to the player suggest that after almost a decade away from home he wants to be closer to his family and his desire to rejoin the national team fold is driving this potential move back to the PSL with his last appearance coming in the COSAFA Cup in 2023.
Although the exact club Cele will join remains unclear, there is a strong possibility he will make a move to the Betway Premiership next year.
