Gift Motupa is determined to make a comeback in the PSL and indications are that he is eyeing the January transfer window as his opportunity to knock on some doors to get an opportunity to play again. The former Bidvest Wits striker remains a Mamelodi Sundowns player, but has not been part of the first team this season.
The Siya crew has previously been informed that he had been training with the club's ABC Motsepe League side, M Tigers, along with Pule Maraisane, who is also looking to make a move during the January transfer window to secure game-time elsewhere.
As previously reported by this publication, Chippa United remain interested in the ex-Orlando Pirates man, rating him as a forward that can add value to their attack. Stellenbosch FC are also understood to have looked at the possibility of bringing Motupa on board and a final decision on where he will be playing, at least until the end of the campaign, will be made in the coming weeks.
The 29-year-old, who is a former national U23 international, has not played a topflight match since January when he came on as a lastminute substitute in a league clash against Richards Bay FC.
He is eager to bounce back and, with no shortage of interest in his services, certainly has a chance of being back on the pitch in the second half of the campaign.
