Ex-Swallows & Chiefs Strikers Start Academy

Ex-Swallows & Chiefs Strikers Start Academy

There's a new kid in South African football and it's called Inter Mzansi Academy, founded by former Swallows striker Naeem Amoojee and ex-Kaizer Chiefs striker Nicolas Mynhardt.

Passionate about nurturing stars of tomorrow, Amoojee has given detail into why he has made the big decision to start a football academy. The academy players will be wearing a kit by Diadora.

Inter Mzansi will have a youth football workshop on October 29, where SAFA accredited coaches, ex and current professionals will have a coaching clinic and mini analysis.

"As a professional footballer in South Africa, I have firsthand experience and knowledge of the sport, which makes the decision even more valuable. Creating a soccer academy allows you to channel your passion for the game and impart your expertise to aspiring young athletes," Amoojee said to the Siya crew.

"The youth are the future of soccer, and it is crucial to invest in their development both on and off the field. By providing them with a nurturing environment, proper coaching, and mentorship, you can help shape their skills, instill discipline, and foster a deep love for the game."

"The decision to surround myself with individuals like Nicholas Mynhardt who shares the same ideals ensures that everyone involved is aligned in their commitment to creating a positive and inclusive soccer community. With a shared vision, you can collectively inspire young athletes, instill important values, and create an environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

"Through the Inter Mzansi soccer academy, I have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of these young players, not only as athletes but also as individuals. By nurturing their talents and providing them with guidance, we can help them grow into well-rounded individuals with a passion for soccer that extends beyond the field. Overall, starting a soccer academy with individuals who share similar ideals allows you to combine your professional experience as a footballer and your dedication to the youth. Together, we can create a supportive and nurturing environment where young players can develop their skills, pursue their dreams, and become the future stars of the game."
