It's understood that Davids has been the frontrunner for the job and management is convinced that he can save the club from relegation, due to his knowledge of the culture and generally how things work there. Fadlu has served in different roles at Maritzburg - as a player, assistant coach and head coach, and is now expected to return for another spell as the main man on the technical team.
The Siya crew understands that Davids will be afforded an opportunity to come in with his own technical team, after the men who were on the bench with Maduka were also shown the door at Maritzburg.
