Even with their recent goal-scoring prowess, Orlando Pirates are actively pursuing a new striker as the season draws to a close, according to insiders privy to information.
Siya sources have indicated that the Houghton-based outfit is showing a keen interest in Casric Stars striker Decide Chauke, with the hope of bolstering their attacking options.

As previously reported, Pirates have been scouting several potential signings, including Burkinabe Stephane Aziz Ki and young forward Tremaine Eastmond. If Bucs are able to release a few forwards in their squad then they can make room for these targets, including Chauke.
"For now, it's an inquiry which means there is something they are seeing in the player. They have interest in him hence they have inquired. It seems they are really serious about bringing in more strikers in the off season and Decide (Chauke) is one of the players they are looking at," said the Siya source.
"He is a good striker and at his age he can be the right signing as he is only 28-years-old right now," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second Siya source highlighted the thoroughness of Pirates' scouting efforts, noting their exploration of talent not only within the DStv Premiership but also in the Motsepe Foundation League and beyond South Africa's borders.
"Their scouting department is doing a good job. They are looking in different directions to find the right striker or strikers to join the team next season. There will be changes in the striking department next season and that's why they are looking at Decide (Chauke) from Casric Stars," the source observed.
Chauke, who joined Casric in 2023 on a two-year contract, has been in impressive form this season in the Motsepe Foundation League, ranking among the top goal scorers in the second-tier.
Soccer Laduma contacted Casric Stars and Orlando Pirates for comment but both clubs had not responded by the time this story was published.
