Just days after leaving Orlando Pirates, defender Sandile Mthethwa appears to have attracted interest from multiple suitors, the Siya crew has been informed.

Two PSL clubs have already inquired about the defender. Insiders close to both those clubs have indicated that Golden Arrows and Chippa United are believed to be interested in securing Mthethwa's services and should be ready to engage with his representatives.
The sources added that Chippa had expressed interest even before his release from Pirates, and now that he is a free agent, they are keen to sign him.
"You remember Chippa wanted him on loan when he was still contracted to Orlando Pirates? Yeah, now they are back and they are looking at what they can do since he is a free agent. Golden Arrows want to strengthen their defence and they feel Mthethwa has what it takes to help them in that department. So, at the moment what I know is that these are the two teams monitoring his situation," the Siya source stated.

A second insider stated that other clubs had previously shown interest, though it's unclear if they are still keen on Mthethwa.
"There were other clubs like AmaZulu FC and Richards Bay who had shown interest in the past. But they all have different technical teams now and it's not clear whether they still want him. But I can tell you he won't be short of suitors as he is a very good defender who didn't have enough game time to showcase his talent at Pirates," the second source observed.
As Mthethwa navigates his next career move, the interest from clubs like Golden Arrows and Chippa United highlights his potential value to a team seeking defensive strength. It's also possible that the likes of Usuthu might come back in for him. Mthethwa's journey in the PSL should take a new direction as clubs assess his abilities and consider adding an experienced defender to their ranks.
