The Siya crew understands that Chippa United have not yet put anything in writing to keep striker Eva Nga beyond the end of this season.
The Cameroonian joined the Chilli Boys during the January transfer window after parting ways with Orlando Pirates and he did not take time to find his feet in his second spell with the Eastern Cape outfit.
The former Bidvest Wits man signed a deal until the end of the season, with an option to extend for another campaign. Chippa are believed to be interested in keeping the 31-year-old forward.
"From what I know, there is nothing in writing," a source close to the player said.
Since signing for Chippa, Nga has played 14 matches and has made a contribution of four goals and four assists. A final decision is expected to be made once the season comes to an end, with the final games of the campaign set to be played this weekend.
It's understood that the player would be open to making a return to Gauteng, though it's unclear at this stage if there is genuine interest from the clubs in the province. Nga, who was sent off in the Nedbank Cup semi-final clash against former employers Pirates, will meet up with his representatives to talk about what happens next in his playing career.
