Insiders have informed the Siya crew that a two-year extension is likely to be discussed. The 34-year-old joined Chiefs as a free agent after his exit from Kaizer Chiefs.
"For now it's an offer for two years. I can't say if he has signed for now, but the club has offered him that two-year extension. Yes, when he joined the team he signed a two-year contract from July 2022 to June 2024. So from December this year he can start negotiating with other teams, so to avoid that, the team has already offered him an extension for two years which means it will run until June 2026," a source revealed to the Siya crew.
When contacted for comment, Sekhukhune United Communications Manager Thina Tswana said that he cannot comment on the matter.
"Contract issues can not be discussed now as we are still in the middle of the season. We have eight or seven games before the end of the season. Maybe we can talk about that during the off-season," Tswana concluded.
