In this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, May Mahlangu has rubbished comments labelling him as 'unpatriotic' and, revealed he chose to play for Bafana Bafana over Sweden.

Mahlangu, who debuted for Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor on Wednesday, explained that he had the chance to become a Swedish citizen in 2011 but turned it down.
The 25-year-old represented South Africa on 13 occasions but has been banned from the national team after requesting to be excluded from the squad for the 2015 Afcon qualifier against Sudan.
"Maybe it's time that people knew that in 2011, when I was the Swedish League Player of the Year and had never been called up for Bafana, they (the Swedes) wanted to have me qualify to get a Swedish passport and represent Sweden, but I said, "No, I am a proud South African," he told the Siya crew.
"Therefore I hate it when people question my patriotism. It shows how ignorant they are. When I've worn the Bafana jersey, it has been with great pride.
"Now those same people choose not to even try and understand the position that I was in, in November, but rather just ban me and label me unpatriotic.
"I always want to play for my country, but the situation with Shakes is difficult to comment on because I have never spoken to him and he's never come to watch any of my games.
"The last thing that I would want is him only calling me up because he feels he's under pressure from the media, from SAFA or from whomever. Every player only wants to play for a coach that really wants him. That's natural."
