Former Manchester United forwards coach Benni McCarthy has revealed that he has been interviewed by three different MLS clubs with the aim of joining the league next season.
Speaking at the Carling Black Label Cup media briefing in Sandton on Tuesday afternoon, McCarthy expressed his desire to take on a more prominent coaching role, which is why he is keen on moving to the MLS.

McCarthy shared that he is awaiting the official end of the American league's season before making his decision on his next steps.
"Yes, I had three interviews in the MLS. That's where I could be targeting to go. For now they are towards the end of their season and they are just waiting for the playoffs to crown the champions and after that they will decide. But I am looking forward to one of those positions in the MLS which I was interviewed for. I would really like to coach there and improve my career," McCarthy answered a question from the Siya crew.
The former Porto star further elaborated on his ambitions, stating his intention to pursue significant achievements in his coaching career.

"I have set my ambitions very high. You know if you dream small you achieve small but if you dream big you achieve big things and that's what I am doing. I am dreaming big and I am looking at going to the MLS and experience the game there and see what we can achieve. But yeah, I have set my ambitions very high and that's why I went for those interviews," the Bafana Bafana legend continued.
