Following a seemingly traumatic saga that Orlando Pirates forward Monnapule Saleng went through, former star player Masibusane Zongo has suggested what players like him should not neglect going forward.
Saleng was involved in an usual legal dispute, which was not divulged to the public but an issue big enough that saw him go AWOL for at least three months.
Consistent reports in the local media claimed that the 26-year-old was not happy with his salary package while other reports had it that there were issues regarding his contract, whether the Buccaneers had an option to renew, a deal which was supposedly coming to an end at the end of the season.
Whatever the case may be, the matter seems to have been resolved for now, as the former Free State Stars striker has reportedly returned to training.

However, players are human and after intense speculation and debate about why the Bafana Bafana forward was no longer coming to work, he could be in need of psychological support.
During the period he was AWOL, Saleng reportedly did not want to speak to former players, who were offering him advice.
However, former SuperSport United and Platinum Stars winger Zongo has urged the current generation to seek mental help or advice from legends when in stressful situations, so they don't end up self destructing.
"Therapy and people talking to you, I only got that when I got to Platinum Stars, they used to organize people to talk to us, some ex players," Zongo opened up on lack of psychological support in football, on Trap and Pass YouTube Channel.

"I'd advise players from today that if they get a chance to get (psychological) help, they should listen to those people, because they are talking from experience. Maybe when I was young, I would have been part of those players who don't want to listen.
"Most players don't like to share, especially private and confidential things but I'd advice them to go and open up and talk, because once you bottle things inside, trust me those things are gonna kill you slowly but surely," the dribbling ace concluded.
Pirates fans are excited about the prospect of the return of Saleng but the biggest question is, is he mentally ready to compete again?
