Orlando Pirates could be having a surprise in store as they aim to oust Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the Betway Premiership as the race for the title is gaining momentum.
In the last two matches against Magesi FC in the Carling knockout last weekend and in Tuesday's league clash against SuperSport United, Pirates have had notable changes in the line-up as Jose Riveiro appears to be managing the squad with next month's CAF Champions League group stages in mind.

After sitting out the SuperSport match, indications are that influential winger Monnapule Saleng could be set for a return this evening as the Buccaneers will be welcoming AmaZulu FC to Orlando Stadium.
In both matches he has played in the league against Chippa United and Polokwane City respectively, Saleng scored a goal in each and remains an integral part of plans in Bucs' title chase despite missing the other two fixtures against Richards Bay FC and SuperSport.
According to sources, Saleng was rested against SuperSport, having been one of the players who have been playing regularly with nine appearances for him in other competitions and three goals plus an assist, including in the MTN8 which Bucs triumphed.
Meanwhile, another player nearing a return to matchday squads is Miguel Timm, according to sources, and Tapelo Xoki who is coming back from injury.

"There is nothing wrong with what the coach is doing, and he is just managing the squad as that is normal and it is crucial at this stage. There's also the Champions League to plan for," said the source.
