Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has now secured his fifth trophy with the Soweto giants after making history in the MTN8.
The Buccaneers became the first side to win the tournament three times in a row after defeating Stellenbosch 3-1 at a sold out Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Riveiro, however, was modest in his post-match interview and praised his team for getting the job done on the night.
"It's the team who wins it for the third time in a row, it's not the coach. We fought, we prayed, we worked, we planned, we travelled, we tried to do our best in every game, that's the minimum we can do when we're representing a club like this one. We have a lot of talent, a lot of everything, so only because of that it is possible," the Pirates coach told SuperSport.
"It's about trusting each other when we're on the field, the people outside, the people analysing the game, I can only understand this business as a collective and I'm trying to play my part to this guys, that they can achieve whatever they want to achieve, they have the capacity to fight. That's the lesson we need to learn, these three months have already been intense but at the same time really exceptional in my opinion."
The Spaniard is now in his third season with the Buccaneers and has already bagged his fifth piece of silverware.
"The guys are making history, today is once again proof that it's the beginning for them, we have an excellent team, young, with a future, they need to push the level high, competing for major things even," he added.
"Thanks to Stellenbosch, they played an excellent final but I think Pirates were superior tonight, even though we started behind."
