Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has reacted to the team's first loss of the season in the Betway Premiership amid the disappointment from the club's supporters.
The Buccaneers lost to Stellenbosch FC yesterday at a packed Orlando Stadium, which was their first lost in the league, although the team is still in the running to win the championship.

The loss meant that the Soweto giants remain in second place behind defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns who won 3-0 against Sekhukhune United on Saturday, although the two teams are on 21 points apiece, with the Brazilians having a superior goal difference.
"I think we have the same number of points (with Sundowns), and it is the goal difference that is putting us up and down, and it's only eight games (that have been played). We have to play 30 games (to finish the championship), and we all know how difficult it is going to be, and how difficult it is to win each and every game. We want to compete, we want to be there until the last game with options to finish in the top, and that's the time that we will analyse," said Riveiro, speaking to journalists after the match.

"Obviously, we would like to be on top with 10 points of advantage, (but) understanding this league because of the level of the opponents, right now that is not possible. So, I'm not frustrated at all, the first defeat came. I think we beat Chippa 2-1 here in the 95th minute when it was close to being a draw, and in some other games too. We didn't perform to lose this match, but it happens, no drama, and we prepare for the next one, and this group will fight until the last game," the coach said.
