Europe's most elite club competition is set to making a return in two weeks time, Tuesday, 8 April for what promises to be an enthralling Quarter-final stage.
For the previous round of the tournament, Heineken went above and beyond to reimagine the football viewing experience with an innovative activation that strengthens fan connections.
In an exciting event, Heineken introduced the Heineken Social Screen – an expandable screen wall that seamlessly links multiple mobile devices.
Hosted at Hyde Park Corner, this state-of-the-art activation transformed solo viewing into a dynamic social experience, uniting football fans in an unforgettable, immersive way.
The event celebrated community, and a shared passion for the beautiful game. This event could set the tone for how South African football fans view Champions League games in the future.

Transforming Solo Viewing into a Shared Experience:
The Heineken Social Screen allowed fans to merge their devices into a massive, synchronized display, turning isolated viewing into a vibrant, communal event.
How It Works:
Participants were invited to disable their mobile data and scan a large QR code near the Social Screen to join the experience. Once connected via Wi-Fi, the Social Screen's Captive Portal automatically opened. Users selected a slot, rotated their phones horizontally, and seamlessly started streaming the match.
Developed in partnership with LePub's tech and innovation collective, the Heineken's Social Screen featured custom-built technology that split DSTV Stream's signal in real time, dynamically adjusting to the number of connected devices at any given moment.
