Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Themba Zwane says his team must not lose focus on their league challenge despite progressing to the semifinals of the Nedbank Cup on Sundaywith a 2-0 win over MP Black Aces.
Second half goals from Teko Modise and Zwane earned the Brazilians the victory and although the 'man of the match' wants to go all the way to final and lift the Nedbank Cup title he also wants his team to concentrate on the league.
"It was a good performance today from the guys, but we need to continue until the final and win the cup," said Zwane.
"In terms of the league, we have to carry on playing and winning games, and see what happens."
Sundowns currently occupy second place on the league standings with 47 points, ten points adrift of Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs, but with a game in hand.
The side from Tshwane is next in action in the league this coming Wednesday against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
