Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has addressed Lucas Suarez' costly mistake against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Brazilians were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup after losing 2-1 to the Soweto giants at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday evening.
Suarez committed a couple mistakes in the loss to Orlando Pirates last month and he was at fault for Chiefs' equaliser after gifting the ball to Wandile Duba.

Cardoso, however, refused to blame the Argentine defender for the Nedbank Cup exit.
“In this team, we win together, we lose together that’s an individual mistake everybody saw, clear, we have to raise and stand for him that’s what everybody is trying to do and we did it well," Cardoso told SuperSport after the game.
“We were not scared to be in the game, we were the only team looking for a goal in the second half, but football is like this out of mistakes somebody takes profit and this is what happens."
Despite ending up on the losing side, Cardoso insists Sundowns were the only team looking to play.
“Basically, we saw one team that wanted to make effort between the game and the other one that wanted to sustain it. It was clear that the team with the intention to win was Sundowns. The first half was not the best one no doubt, but it was not the best one for both teams," he said.
“I think at halftime we corrected, we came out stronger, we controlled the game, and unfortunately there’s an incredible mistake that brings one goal and brings alive one team that was dead that’s the story of this game.
“From then on, we continued and we pushed trying to go for the second goal and then we suffered from a corner or free-kick whatever…that I need to see. It’s obviously not good, but we have to keep on going,” he continued.
