CT Spurs In Relegation Battle? Durban City Climb Table

University of Pretoria 4-3 Black Leopards

University of Pretoria revived their hopes of getting back into challenging pack after edging Black Leopards in a seven-goal thriller on Sunday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

Kgomotso Mosadi broke the deadlock for AmaTuks on the half-hour mark and Bethuel Muzeu equalised for Leopards on the stroke of half-time.

Mosadi restored the lead for the hosts early in the second stanza but the visitors levelled matters again midway into the second stanza.

Lidoda Duvha went ahead with 15 minutes remaining but Mosadi made it 3-3 for the Tshwane side and completed his hat-trick.

Athenkosi Tonisi snatched the winner for AmaTuks in added time.

The win took Tlisane Motaung's charges up to eighth on the log while Leopards slipped down to fifth.

Leruma United 2-3 Hungry Lions

Hungry Lions won their third game in a row after edging Leruma United inna five-goal thriller on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

As a result, Ditau Dia Rora climbed up to sixth on the table, four points off the promotion places.

Meanwhile, Leruma remained second-from-bottom on the table after they lost for the fourth time in five games.

Saturday, 30 November

Upington City 1-3 Durban City

Promotion-chasing Durban City got back to winning ways after thrashing Upington City 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Mxolisi Dicky Jacob's Stadium.

Joslin Kamatuka broke the deadlock for Durban City midway through the first stanza and Bokang Mokwena levelled matters for Upington early in the second stanza.

However, Kamatuka and Chonco got two quick goals for The Team of Choice in the dying minutes to seal the three points, with the Namibian completing his brace.

Simo Dladla's charges remained in second spot, one point behind leaders Milford and Bafana Ba Gucci dropped down to ninth on the standings.

Milford 0-1 Casric Stars

Leaders Milford lost back-to-back matches after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Casric Stars on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Augustine Mahlonoko scored the only goal for Casric ten minutes before the interval.

The Stallions' lead at the top of the log was reduced to just a point while Stars moved up to seventh on the table.

Kruger United 1-1 Orbit College

Orbit College dropped out of the promotion places after a second successive 1-1 draw against Kruger United on Saturday afternoon.

Orbit fell down to fourth on the log, two points behind leaders Milford and Kruger had to settle for tenth spot.

Venda Football Academy 1-1 Pretoria Callies

Venda Football Academy missed the chance to get out of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw against Pretoria Callies on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Callies got an early opener and Venda salvaged a point after Reagan Lubesha snatched the equaliser in added time.

The Limpopo side remained at the bottom of the log while the Romans were left lying 13th.

Friday, 29 November

Cape Town Spurs 0-1 JDR Stars

Cape Town Spurs' winless run extended to eight matches after a narrow 1-0 loss to JDR Stars on Friday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.

Ishmael Wadi scored the only goal of the game for JDR midway into the first stanza as they climbed up to third on the table.

The Urban Warriors remained in 14th spot, equal on points with 15th-placed Leruma United and only one point ahead of bottom side Venda Football Academy.

Highbury 0-1 Baroka

Baroka returned to winning ways after edging Highbury 1-0 on Friday afternoon at Gelvandale Stadium.

Thuso Mogale scored the decisive goal for Baroka in the first stanza as they leapfrogged Highbury in 11th spot on the log.

The Eastern Cape outfit dropped down to 12th.
