Teams: Chippa United v Cape Town City
Date: 14 August 2020
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Chippa United and Cape Town City resume their Absa Premiership campaign with a keenly contested battle at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.
Chippa are once again under a new management with Lehlohonolo Seema arriving from Bloemfontein Celtic in the middle of last month, following Rhulani Mokwena's abrupt departure.
The Chilli Boys' last encounter and Mokwena's one and only was a goalless draw away to Bidvest Wits in the first week of March this year.
City, meanwhile, ended their previous clash with a 2-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic five months ago, and sit just a point above Chippa in tenth with the latter in 12th spot in the standings.
Chippa have full-back Gerald Modisane suspended following his late dismissal against Wits, while City welcome back Kermit Erasmus from a hamstring injury.
Since the 2016/17 season, there have been seven league matches involving the two outfits, with four wins going the way of City and two for Chippa while the other match ended in a draw.
