Mshishi Reacts To Downs Technical Team Changes

Themba 'Mshishi' Zwane has commented on Steve Komphela's return to Mamelodi Sundowns, as well as Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena.

With Sundowns back from Austria where they played competitive friendly matches against teams from around the world, Zwane is looking forward to continuing with his impressive performances that have made him arguably the greatest player to have donned the club's colours.

The 34-year-old suggests that the adjustment hasn't been much of a problem for the players following the technical team changes made by the Brazilians at the end of the season, after Rulani Mokwena vacated his position as the head coach.

"Obviously, working with coach Steve and coach Manqoba is always good, because we worked with coach Steve before, and we know what to expect. Coach Manqoba has been around for the longest time, so we know what kind of a coach that he is, and what he expects from us. For us, we are positive for the season. For coach Rulani, what I can say is, I wish him all the best in his new challenge," said Zwane, speaking to journalists during Wednesday's MTN8 launch in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.

For his inspiring performances and consistency, Zwane says he is encouraged by the support he gets from all those who idolise him and appreciative of his work, while he also aims to be an example to the younger generation.

"It's an encouragement to keep on doing well, and I'm always happy with myself that I am able to contribute and for being an example to the young ones. For me, what is most important is continuing being able to the young ones. That's what I told myself, that I want to be a good example to the young ones, and not only by just talking but by action, keeping on raising the bar each and every season, pushing myself and always being positive," said Zwane.
